Continuing pedagogical development for Faculty: challenges and opportunities

Ana Freitas has a first-degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences.
Skilled in the areas of Educational consultancy&support, Coordination of pedagogical initiatives, Academic management and curriculum design, Alumni relations, Staff pedagogical training. Expert in the organization of Workshops, Conferences and other events.
She has been working in Higher Education Institutions for 18 years, in areas of Educational consultancy&support, Coordination of pedagogical initiatives, Academic management and curriculum design, Alumni relations, Staff pedagogical training and R&D in Higher Education Pedagogy. Expert in the organization of Workshops, Conferences and other events.
She is currently working as a Senior Officer in the Teaching and Learning Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.
She has accreditations as a teachers’/professors’ trainer (by the national accreditation Council: C.C.P.F.C.) and as a trainer of trainers (by the national accreditation Institute: I.E.F.P.), having taught over 500 hours in topics related to teaching and learning in higher education.
She does Research & Innovation in “higher education pedagogy” (more than 50 presentations in conferences, more than 30 abstracts and papers published) and she has collaborated in 6 (inter)national and financed projects. 2 scientific awards.
She supervised 3 curricular and 3 professional internships.
